A Unique Perspective, Unmatched Expertise

We are proud to lead the way as a Deaf-led organization that raises the standard for interpreting and consulting services. Our unique combination of lived experience, professional expertise, and global perspective allows us to deliver culturally responsive and research-backed strategies and solutions. Few others in our field offer the same depth of understanding and commitment to addressing the specific needs of the Deaf community. When you work with us, you gain access to services that are not only expertly executed but also uniquely empathetic.
What sets us apart is our ability to seamlessly navigate the intersection of culture, language, and accessibility. We recognize that the Deaf community is richly diverse—not all Deaf individuals have the same linguistic or accessibility experiences. Some are monolingual in ASL, others are multilingual across signed and spoken languages, and some have experienced language deprivation or navigate communication with multiple disabilities. Our firsthand experience equips us to support this broad spectrum of communication needs, ensuring that our services honor and reflect the unique ways in which Deaf individuals adapt their language and communication styles to different contexts. This deep understanding allows us to provide solutions that are inclusive, equitable, and culturally responsive.

We are also committed to supporting and mentoring Deaf interpreters, interpreters of color, and Deaf-parented interpreters, fostering an environment where diverse perspectives are valued and strengthened. From coordinating interpreting teams for major events to consulting on accessibility initiatives, we are trusted partners for clients who value clarity, professionalism, and impact.

A Journey of Language, Culture, and Growth

My story began with an early passion for interpreting and a commitment to fostering meaningful communication across diverse communities. The experience of volunteering at a Deaf film festival in the UK at the age of 20, interpreting between British Sign Language (BSL) and American Sign Language (ASL), ignited a dedication to excellence and inclusivity that continues to guide me today. While, as a Deaf person, I had always engaged in language brokering for friends at my Deaf boarding school and for family at home, it wasn’t until that festival that I realized interpreting could be a viable career path. This pivotal experience sparked my lifelong commitment to fostering inclusivity and excellence in communication.
At With Direction, LLC, we build on that passion by delivering culturally responsive and research-backed strategies and solutions. Through years of academic study and professional experience, we have refined our craft to provide services that address the evolving needs of our clients.
Recognizing the complexities of communication access, we are driven to create solutions that prioritize clarity, inclusivity, and impact. Our work is rooted in a commitment to delivering exceptional interpreting, consulting, and training services that empower individuals and organizations alike. We celebrate the richness of multilingualism and the diversity of signed and spoken languages, ensuring every interaction is linguistically and culturally responsive. We are also committed to supporting and mentoring Deaf interpreters, interpreters of color, and Deaf-parented interpreters, fostering an environment where diverse perspectives are valued and strengthened.
Every project we take on is guided by a belief that communication should be clear, inclusive, and impactful, ensuring everyone has an equal opportunity to connect and thrive.
